The Process - What To Expect

 1. Fill out the form

 You'll fill out the commission form where you will specify your material, model, and preferred nib size and finish.

2. I'll confirm 

 You'll get a confirmation email from me detailing what you filled out on the form, with an estimated timeline for completion.

3. You'll confirm

 When your pen is coming up in the queue, I'll reach out via email to confirm that you are still interested - please reply as soon as possible, so that I can keep your spot in the queue. I won't begin until I hear back.

4. I'll make your pen

 Production will begin and I'll share photos of the process as I am able!

5. You'll see the finished product

 I'll send video of the pen with a satin and gloss finish for you to choose from.

6. You'll get final photos and a purchase link

 I'll take properly lit photos and send you a private purchase link

7. You'll purchase the pen

 In a perfect world, you will love the pen and purchase it right away! If you don't - that's not a problem! I'm happy to put it on my site and try one more time with another blank if I have it on hand.

8. I'll ship the pen

 I'll ship the pen, and you will get tracking information. 

9. You'll receive the pen

 You'll receive it, and hopefully you'll love it! If there's anything wrong, just reach out to me and we'll discuss.

Rules and Guidelines

Communication is the most important part of the commission process

If I reach out to you with a question or update, please respond in a timely manner - ideally within 24 hours. If you are on vacation or know that you won't be able to be reached for any reason after step 3 above, please let me know!

Life Happens

If you can no longer commit to purchasing the pen, that's totally ok! Just let me know - there's no pressure to purchase.

Tastes Change and Blanks are Unpredictable

Maybe you've seen the pen and you just aren't in love, or your tastes have changed since you commissioned the pen. That's totally ok too! Just let me know - there's no pressure to purchase.

You have 7 days to purchase

You have 7 days to purchase - Once I've sent you your link to purchase, you will have 7 days to reply - after that, I will put the pen into my inventory and onto my website. If you need some extra time, that's totally fine - just let me know!

Ghosting is not OK

If you ghost me at any point in the process - especially after I've completed the pen and sent your link - I will put you onto the "stock pens only" list. This rule is here because this does happen, as surprising as it sounds.
